Other Experience

I worked for over ten years at the University of Kent in Student Support and Wellbeing, supporting students struggling with emotional and mental health difficulties.

During my studies, I worked on placement at ellenor hospice supporting those bereaved, carers of terminally ill and also patients at end of life.

Before committing full time to my counselling role, I worked part-time across five GP practices. My role focused on providing emotional and practical support to patients who were struggling with their mental health or other wellbeing issues.

I am currently a counsellor for Kent Counselling for Schools (KCS) counselling children and adults in three secondary schools and an independent Alternative Provision school. I have previously worked with primary school children.

I regularly attend CPD courses to enhance my learning. Some of these include bereavement, supporting those bereaved through suicide, trauma, depression, anxiety, coaching, behaviour change to name a few.
